Understanding your estimate

Questions about oncology

General information only. Your treating specialist advises on your own case.

Can I get an opinion before I travel?

Yes. An oncologist can review your biopsy, scans and treatment history remotely and suggest a plan and estimate before you book anything.

Will I need to stay in India for the whole treatment?

It depends on the plan. Surgery may need two to three weeks. Radiation usually runs five to seven weeks of daily sessions. Some chemotherapy can continue at home after the first cycles, if your local doctor agrees.

Can my original slides be reviewed in India?

Often, yes. Hospitals may ask you to bring the original biopsy blocks or slides so their pathologist can confirm the diagnosis.
